Appetizers

  1. 1)  Ayib Begomen ( $5.00 ) - Farmer's cheese mixed with collard greens, spiced butter, and a touch of mia-mita (chili powder). Served over toasted Italian bread.

  2. 2)  Yesga Sambusa ( $5.00 ) - Pastry shell filled with ground beef, onion, jalapeno, herbs, and spices, then pan fried and served hot.

  3. 3)  Yemiser Sambussa ( $5.00 ) - Pastry shell filled with lentils, onion, jalapeno, herbs, and spices, then pan fried and served hot.

    Salads


  1. 4)  Gojo Salad ( $5.00 ) - Fresh cut romaine hearts, tomato, onion, and jalapeno tossed with house dressing.

  2. 5)  Teemateem Salad ( $5.00 ) - Fresh, diced tomato, onion, and jalapeno tossed with fresh lemon juice and olive oil. Sprinkled with roasted, ground flaxseeds.

  3. 6)  Azifa ( $5.00 ) - Lentils blended with olive oil, lemon, green peppers, onion and spices.

Entrees (Poultry, Beef, Lamb)

All Entrees are served with Enjera (flat, pancake-like, sourdough bread) and vegetables.

  1. 7)  Kitfo (like steak tartar) ( $11.50 ) - Ground prime beef mixed with butter, mita-mita (chili powder). Served rare or well done. Add Ayib(farmer's cheese) ( $2.50 )

  2. 8)  Awaze Tibs ( $11.95 ) - Cubed prime beef sauteed and simmered in hot sauce and seasoned with spices and fresh herbs.

  3. 9)  Beef Tibs ( $11.50 ) - Cubed prime beef sauteed and simmered in mild sauce and seasoned with spices and fresh herbs.

  4. 10)  Awaze Tibs Firfir ( $12.50 ) - Pieces of enjera sauteed in Awaze Tibs(#8)

  5. 11)  Yebeg T'ibs ( $12.95 ) - Chunks of lamb with bones, marinated with rosemary, then sauteed with onion finished with jalapeno.

  6. 12)  Qey-W'et ( $10.50 ) - Fresh, tender beef stew with onion, garlic, fresh ginger, berbere, hot pepper and spiced butter.

  7. 13)  Yebeg Alicha ( $12.50 ) - Tender pieces of lamb simmered in mild sauce and seasoned with fresh ginger, garlic and tumeric.

  8. 14)  Doro w'et ( $12.50 ) - Two chicken legs marinated in lemon juice, then sauteed in spiced butter and seasoned with pepper garlic, onions, fresh ginger and spices. Served with a hard-boiled egg.

  9. 15)  Minchet Abish (Deqa) ( $10.95 ) - Finely chopped prime beef, sauteed in butter and simmered in hot sauce seasoned with spices and fresh herbs.

    Vegetarian Dishes


  1. 16)  Miser W'et ( $8.95 ) - Split lentils cooked with onion, garlic,and ginger in house special sauces and hot pepper.

  2. 17)  Kik Aletcha ( $7.95 ) - Yellow split peas cooked with fresh ginger, garlic, and onion and finished with turmeric sauce.

  3. 18)  Shiro W'et ( $8.95 ) - Ground and highly seasoned chickpeas cooked with onion and garlic.

  4. 19)  Ye'atkilt W'et ( $8.95 ) - Fresh string beans, carrots, and onions sauteed in flavorful mild sauce.

  5. 20)  Tikle Gomen ( $8.95 ) - Fresh cabbage, sauteed with garlic ginger, then seasoned with a touch of tumeric powder.

  6. 21)  Foul ( $8.95 ) - Slightly crushed fava beans served with raw onion, tomato, and jalapeno. Finished with seasoned butter or olive oil. Served with pita bread.

  7. 22)  Vegetarian Combination ( $12.50 ) - Select four vegetables from (#16 through #20).

  8. 23)  Meat and Vegetable Combination ( $13.95 ) - Select two vegetable and two meat dished (from #12 through #15).

Rice Dishes

  1. 24)  Chicken Curry & Peas ( $12.50 ) - Chunks of chicken legs and thighs simmered with onion, garlic and fresh ginger. Seasoned with Indian spices and served over rice.

  2. 25)  Deqa (Minchet Abesh) ( $10.50 ) - Finely chopped prime beef sauteed with onion, garlic, ginger, red pepper, and spices. Served over rice then garnished with fried onions and carrots.

  3. 26)  Baked Lamb Chops ( $12.50 ) - Marinated in house special spices and herbs. Served over rice with seasonal vegetables.

  4. 27)  Gyros ( $9.50 ) - Pan grilled slices of gyros with green papper and onion. Served over rice with cucumber sauce.
